Neuroscience Research Australia is part of a bold new idea in medical research that sees 11 research institutes, hospitals and universities form Australia's first Health-Science Alliance.
The Health-Science Alliance has been modelled on similar alliances in the UK and USA where member organisations pool resources and expertise to further medical discoveries and science.
“The Health-Science Alliance is Australia’s first Academic Health Science Centre”, explains one of its founders, Professor Terry Campbell, Deputy Dean of the University of NSW’s Faculty of Medicine.
The alliance is a unique collaboration between hospitals, universities, research institutes and independent researchers on the Randwick campus of UNSW and its teaching hospitals.
