Dr Simon Chalkley is a practicing staff specialist physician with qualifications in both Geriatric Medicine and Endocrinology. He is a conjoint senior lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales. Simon completed his PhD in Medicine at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in 2003. In 2002, he became a staff specialist in Geriatrics at the Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick. Since then he has also been a clinician in the Cognitive Disorders Clinic at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Simon also works at the La Perouse Aboriginal health centre managing mostly chronic diseases and conditions in the local community. He is currently a member of the RACP, Australasian Society of Geriatric Medicine, the Australian Association of Gerontology, the Australian Diabetes Society and the Endocrine Society of Australia.
