Alice attained a Bachelor of Science degree (Neuro) at University of Western Australia in 2000. She worked overseas in Oxford, London on the biology of Type II diabetes before returning to Australia and neuroscience.
She has been working as a research assistant in Sydney at the Schizophrenia Research Lab in 2007. She leads the blood collection and processing for the CASSI clinical trial in addition to heading the biological assays of the blood samples.
She has put a great deal of effort into studying proteins in the brain using immunohistological techniques and setting up and validating novel quantitiatve techniques for analyzing brain sections under the microscope.
She has made significant contributions to two recent publications, one in Biological Psychiatry and one in Australian New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry.
