Ans Vercammen obtained her master’s degree in Experimental and Theoretical Psychology from the University of Ghent, Belgium. From 2005-2009 she worked at the Cognitive Neuropsychiatry Laboratory of the BCN NeuroImaging Center in Groningen, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof. Andre Aleman. Her research focused on the cognitive and neural basis of auditory-verbal hallucinations in schizophrenia. She received her PhD in October 2009 and has since joined Dr. Tom Weickert’s group as a research officer.
