Nerve excitability testing is being applied to patients with spinal cord injury and other neurological conditions to provide further information about the functionality of nerves. Threshold tracking techniques and software are able to provide further information about the pathophysiology of the neuropathy and possibly improve diagnosis. Neuropathies currently under investigation include those associated with spinal cord injury, diabetes, uraemia and other metabolic disorders, and those associated with the chemotherapy in cancers.
