Topic: Cognitive impairment and falls
Dr Morag Taylor is a NHMRC-ARC Dementia Research Development Fellow; currently her work is focusing on further understanding fall risk and, preventing falls and disability in older people with dementia. She completed her PhD in 2014, titled ‘Understanding fall risk in cognitively impaired older people’. Morag has 16 published, peer reviewed manuscripts, nine as first author. She has presented her work nationally and internationally. Morag is a physiotherapist and worked on the Aged Care Rehabilitation ward at the Prince of Wales Hospital for 14 years (2002 –2016). She was also a founding member of the Falls, Balance and Bone Health team at the Prince of Wales Hospital.
