Building. Level 6nowhouses laboratoriesandoffices for the
SydneyBrainBankandourdementiaandParkinson’s research
teams.Newoffices forourdementiaclinical researchersare
beingconstructedonLevel 2and thefitout ofbasement levels
will provideastate-of-the-artgait laboratory for fallsand
movement studies, anewcrash laboratory for injuryprevention
research, anddedicatedstorage forup to2500samples from
theSydneyBrainBank.

developmedical innovationsbasedonsoundscientific
evidence.Clinical trialsarekey to improving the treatment
of aparticulardiseaseorvalidatingbiomarkers to improve

Ourparticipation in the internationalDominantly Inherited
AlzheimerNetwork (DIAN)prevention trial isgroundbreaking
because the identificationof asuccessful drughas thepotential
tobeeffective inpreventingAlzheimer’sdisease in later life.
NeuRA’smergerwith theSchizophreniaResearch Institute
hasbeenapositivestep forbothorganisationsasweexpedite
translationofdiscoveries tobenefit those livingwith
