Cross-disciplinary assessment of chronic HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder

This project is dedicated to several research projects to study the HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder mechanisms in chronic and virally suppressed HIV infection as well as in patients who are ageing and are at higher risks of cardiovascular diseases. The project uses cross-disciplinary methods such as neuropsychology, MRI/MRS/DTI and laboratory biomarkers to yield new insight into the neuropathology of HIV. The project is funded by a NHMRC Clinical Level 1 Career Development Fellowship (01/2013-12/2016); Dr Cysique is the principal investigator.
