Brishna is an Honours student in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW Sydney and Neuroscience Research Australia, supervised by Professor James McAuley and Dr Matthew Jones.

Brishna's research focuses on evaluating the comparative effectiveness of analgesic medicines for low back pain using network meta-analysis. Her research aims to guide clinical decision making regarding prescription of medicines for low back pain. Brishna also enjoys working with large datasets to perform data analysis using various programming languages.

Brishna also teaches undergraduate students at UNSW Sydney, where she graduated from with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (with Distinction) in 2022. She has been awarded several prizes from UNSW Sydney for excellent academic achievement.
