Shally completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Psychology, Honours Class I) at UNSW. Her honours thesis involved exploring foundational assumptions for interpreting EEG data within a schizophrenia lab. She has previous research experience working on a range of projects including systematic reviews and clinical drug trials. Shally is currently working on the Self-efficacy and Health Promotion in early-stage dementia and E-learning for carers (SHAPE) project in the Anstey lab.
In the future, Shally intends to complete her post-graduate studies.
This is a trial designed to test a new intervention to support people with early stage dementia and their care partners. The research will combine three existing interventions based on self-management, health promotion and e-learning into one extended educational program. We hope to improve well-being and support people to live in their own homes for as long as possible by providing the relevant knowledge, information and skills directly to the people with dementia.
